GENERAL INFORMATION

Sotex® (TU 2389-004-17483468-94) is a solution of alkyd resin and special additives, including highly efficient new-generation preservative and biocidal additives, in organic solvents The compound forms a water-resistant and weather-resistant biological protection coating on the wood surface, which uncovers and emphasizes wood texture without any change of natural color.

The compound was permitted for application by the Center of State Sanitary and Epidomiological Control of Moscow.

APPLICATIONS

Finsishing sawn and planed wood surfaces inside a building and outside.

PURPOSE

• decorative finish of wood and protecting it from atmospheric effects, protection of wood from decay, mildew, molds, wood stain, insects, and other destructive biological factors;
• preliminary preservative treatment of wood before applying oil and alkyd varnishes, paints, or varnish paints;
• using as a preservative additive to oil and alkyd varnishes, paints, or varnish paints (1 part of compound per 3 parts of the base).

OBJECTS OF APPLICATION:

Windows, doors, frames, inside and outside walls, house facades, staircases, railing, country buildings and furniture.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS.

The compound must be applied to dry, cleaned from dust, dirt, and old finish, wooden surfaces using a brush, applicator roll, air or airless diffusion technique without any preliminary dilution. Applying the compound more than two times gives the wood a shining varnished appearance. The period of drying between the applications comprises 2 hours. The duration of final drying comprises 24 hours at the temperature of 18-22°C. The dilution of the compound in case of thickening as a result of the solvents' evaporation, and rinsing of the instrument is to be made using white-spirit, paint thinner, kerosene, solvent 646, 647.

CONSUMPTION (1 layer):

For planed wood - 1 liter per 7-10 m²

For sawn wood - 1 liter per 4-5 m²

STORAGE CONDITIONS: store and transport at temperature from -40 to +40°C in a sealed container.

Warranty shelf life - 12 months from date of manufacture.
