PURPOSE

Finishing sawn and planed wood surfaces inside a building and outside (windows, frames, doors, inside and outside walls, balconies, railing, loggias, trims, shutters, baseboards, house fronts, stairs, fencing, garden structures, furniture, products made of flake board, fiberboard, plywood etc).

• protects wood from atmospheric effects and solar UV-rays, protects from decay, mildew, molds, wood stain, destruction by wood-eating insects;
• decorates wood to imitate finewood sorts and gives it required colours and hues.

ADVANTAGES

1. Ensures lasting wood protection from atmospheric effects.. A Specially selected system of alkyd resins with various viscosity and the presence of natural oils in the compound provide for the formation of a high-impact air-penetrating protective coating, which at the same time possesses high flexibility and resilience. The presence of natural waxes I the compound makes it possible to achieve enhanced resistance of the coating to atmospheric effects.
2. 2. Protects wood from biological damage. The most up-to-date ecologically safe fungistats in the compound protect the wood from mold, sour and wood-staining fungi.
3. Protects the wood from solar UV-rays of UV-A and UV-B ranges. The system of light stabilizers of the compound includes unique organic UV-absorbers and UV-absorbing nanopigments of a new generation, which makes it possible to achieve high resistance of the final coating to fading.
4. The coating possesses highly aesthetical properties.. . Leaving the natural wood structure visible, the compound forms silky glazed varnish coating, which has a full, deep, noble colour due to the use of special transparent pigments. All Aquatex Extra ® colours can be mixed one with another to create customized colours and hues.
5. Easy to apply. The compound possesses excellent painting properties, prevents the appearance of drips, perfectly moistures wooden surfaces. It is possible to apply the compound on the wood with the moisture of up to 40 %, which makes it possible to widen the seasonal period of compound usage. It is possible to apply the compound on wooden surfaces, which were previously processed with drying oil or other wood-painting solvents.
6. Convenient package. The product is packed in original "European buckets", which prevents the possibility of forging, as well as the loss of the package sealing during transportation.
7. Enhanced shelf life of the compound. The shelf life of Aquatex-Extra compound is 3 years from the date of manufacture.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Aquatex-Extra ® (ТУ 2389-043-13238275-2006) is a pigmented compound of alkyd resins and special additives in organic solvents. The compound forms a breathing bioprotective water-resistant polymer coating on the wood surface. Preserves or enhances the wood texture and gives it a desired shade. As compared to other similar compounds, it is distinguished by increased resistance to bleaching and biological activity. It is possible to treat wood with moisture up to 40 %. The compound was permitted for application by the Territorial Administration of the Federal service on the supervision in the Sphere of Consumers’ Rights Protection and Human Welfare in Moscow.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before the application the compound must be stirred thoroughly. Apply the compound (stirring from time to time) on a clean, air-dried, cleaned from older coatings and damaged layers wood in one or two layers with intermediate drying not less than 12 hours. The period of complete drying at the temperature of 20°C is 24 hours. During the application the ambient temperature and the surface temperature must not be below +5°. It is possible to apply the compound with a brush, applicator roll, spraying, or submerging (if needed, dilute with white spirit). When decorating interiors it is recommended to apply to layers of the compound with intermediate polishing with water-resistant fine grain abrasive paper. In damp locations, and to enhance preserving activity and additional protection from wood-eating insects it is recommended to preliminary coat the wood surface with Aquatex Coating-Preservative compound. All Aquatex-Extra colours can be mixed one with another. It is possible to apply the Aquatex-Extra compound on wooden surfaces, which were previously processed with drying oil or other wood-protecting solvents. It is possible to treat wood with moisture up to 40 %. Clean the instruments by white-spirit, kerosene, solvents 646, 647. It is not recommended to mix Favourite Country House compound with other compounds. The shade and intensity of the coating color largely depend on the sort of wood, quality of the surface finish and the number of the layers applied.

CONSUMPTION RATE BY SINGLE APPLICATION:

• Sawn wood 5 – 8 m²/l.
• Planed wood 10 – 15 m²/l.

Storage conditions:

Store at -40 – +45° С in a sealed container at a safe distance from heating appliances. Do not expose to open flame. Does not lose characteristics after freezing.

Storage time: 3 years.
