GENERAL INFORMATION
The Pirex® fire-retardant water-dispersion paint (TU 2316-020-13238275-01) is a suspension of target components and coloring agents in water dispersions of synthetic polymers with the addition of biocidal, modifying, stabilizing, and other additives. The fire-retarding effect of the paint is based on the fact that a thermal shield of noncombustible foam is formed on the wood surface at a high temperature. When used for wood fire protection, in accordance with the applicaiton instructions, the Pirex® paint ensures Group 1 of fire protection efficiency, defined according to GOST 16363-98.
The paint was permitted for application by the Center of Sanitary and Epidomiological Control of Moscow.
PURPOSE AND FIELDS OF APPLICATION
The Pirex® paint is designed for fire protection of wooden, veneer, chipboard, and fiberboard surfaces. The paint was designed for application in residential and industrial building and inside structures. The paint should be applied to any wooden surfaces, for which there is any risk of fire: walls, doors, ceilings, beam systems, closed attic structures, shelves, etc.

The surface of the wood to be painted must be cleaned from bark, dirt, old, barely holding paint or varnish coatings, and have moisture not exceeding 20 %. The Pirex® paint must be stirred thoroughly before the application. It is possible to dilute the paint with water to the required degree of consistency, but not exceeding 15 % of the paint weight. In this case the diluted paint must not be stored.
Consumption: at least 300 g/m2 (taking into account the diluted paint). The period of drying between each layer application must be at least 1 hour at the temperature of air and the surface painted of 20°C. If the temperature is below 15°C, it is allowed to increase the drying period for each coating layer to 24 hours.
Storage conditions: the paint must be stored and transported in a sealed container, protected from moisture and air, at the temperature above 0°C.
Warranty shelf life -12 months from date of manufacture.
