GENERAL INFORMATION

"PIREX-CABLE" fire-retardant intumescent paint (TU 2316-035-13238275-06) is a suspension of target components and coloring agents in water dispersions of synthetic polymers with the addition of modifying, stabilizing, and other additives.

The paint provides protection by creating heat insulating shield of hard non-flammable foam on exposure to high temperature.

Such shield effectively prevents spreading of fire through cables and wires.

DESIGNATION

"PIREX-CABLE" fire-retardant intumescent paint is intended for protection of electric cables of various types (power, control, communication, etc with coatings made of polyvinylchloride, polythene, and rubber) preventing dire spreading as per NPB 238-97.

The necessary effect is achieved with the dry paint layer of 0.5 mm, which is guaranteed with the consumption of 0,95 кг/m² (not including losses).

The effective use period for "PIREX-CABLE" coating in indoor areas with the temperature from -40^oС up to +60^oС without protective layer is 10 years and 15 years with protective layer (HV-16, HV-185 varnish paints, etc.)

BRIEF APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Before application the paint shall be mechanically mixed, after that it is applied on clean cable surface (metallic cable mounting elements shall be preliminary covered with GF-021 primer coat) at the temperature from +5^оC up to +40^оС by method of airless or pneumatic spraying, with a brush or roll applicator in one or several layers (A solution with 15 % of water may be made if necessary).

Drying time between layers is 12 hours at 20^оС, final drying time shall be not less than 48 hours.

"PIREX-CABLE" paint is referred to Group 4 of fire-resistance rating (low danger agents). The paint does not form any toxic substances in the process of interaction with other materials or at heat impact. Rinse with water in case of contact with skin and eyes. Keep away from children.

Storage conditions: Store and transport in tightly sealed package, prevent from ingress of moisture, air access, with the temperature above 0^оС. Do not freeze!

Shelf life: - 12 months from the manufacture date.
