GENERAL INFORMATION
"PIREX-METAL Plus " fire-retardant intumescent paint (TU 2316-025-13238275-03 with amendment 1) is a suspension of target components and coloring agents in water dispersions of synthetic polymers with the addition of modifying, stabilizing, and other additives. The paint provides protection by creating heat insulating shield of hard non-flammable foam on exposure to high temperature. Such shield prevents heating of metal structures within a given time period (R) to the critical temperature(500оС)
The composition is approved by the Territorial Administration of the Federal Supervision Authority for Consumers Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing for the City of Moscow.
DESIGNATION
"PIREX-METAL Plus " fire-retardant intumescent paint is intended for increasing fire-retardant properties of steel elements made of rolled metal products as per SNiP 2.01.0285. May be used indoors and outdoors (under overhang). In accordance with NPB 23697 it belongs to group 3 of fire resistance rating.
"PIREX-METAL Plus" is certified by the Russian Fire Safety Research Institute (VNIIPO MChS RF). The amount of paint needed for a dry layer of 1 mm is 1.76 kg/m2.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS (BRIEF)
Before application the paint shall be mechanically mixed, after that it is applied on clean cable surface (preliminary covered with GF-021 primer coat) at the temperature from +5oC till +40oС;by method of airless or pneumatic spraying, with a brush or roll applicator. A solution with 15 % of water may be made if necessary. Drying time between layers is 12 hours at 20oС, final drying time shall be not less than 48 hours.
"PIREX-METAL Plus" paint is referred to Group 4 of fire-resistance rating (low danger agents). ALL
"PIREX-METAL Plus", components are blast and fire safe. Keep away from children.
Storage conditions: Store and transport in tightly sealed package, prevent from ingress of moisture, air access, with the temperature above 0оС. Do not freeze!
Shelf life: - 12 months from the manufacture date.
