PURPOSE
BIOSEPT-TRANS Preservative Compound is designed for protecting the freshly sawn timber from wood-staining, mold, and wood-destroying fungi, as well as wood borers for the period of atmospheric drying, transportation and storage under the conditions of hygroscopic and condensation damping.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Biosept-trans Timber Preservative (TU 2386–031–13238275–04) is produced as a concentrate, easily soluble in water. The compound is classified as wood preservative. Its low consumption rate for preparing the treatment solution makes the compound higly economical. The treatment of timber with the solution of the Biosept-trans compound may be carried out by submerging (treating large quanities), and by a brush or an applicator roll, which is very convenient, when working with small timber quantities. The Biosept-trans timber preservative may be supplied with an indicator, which makes it possible to easily differentiate the treated wood from the untreated
PROPERTIES:
- High ability to penetrate in wood texture.
- High efficiency of biological protection by low consumption.
- Suitable for treating timber with the moisture up to 80 %.
- Does not color the wood, nor prevents it from subsequent coloring by varnishes, paints, blues.
- Does not effect the strength and adhesion properties of the wood.
- Preserves the wood texture, does not impede its breathing.
- Environmentally safe, has no odor.
- Does not induce corrosion of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Ensures the protection of the wood for up to 6 months.
- Recommended for treating soft- and hardwood.
- Does not result in leaching of the wood surface.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Treat timber with the solution of the Biosept-trans timber preservative with the concentration of 5-8 % (5-6 % for submerging technique, 7-8 % for brush treatment and spraying). Works must be carried out at the temperature of + 5 to +40°C. To prepare the treatment solution, the concentrated Biosept-trans preservative is diluted in two thirds of the required quantity of water, stirred thoroughly, after which the remaining quantity of water is added, and the solution is stirred again.
Treatment solution consumption:
- by brush treatment or spraying - 0.15 kg/m2,
- in dipping tanks from 5 to 25 kg/m3 depending on the cross-section of the treated timber.
Storage conditions: store in a sealed container at a temperature above 0°C.
Warranty shelf life -24 months from date of manufacture.
