PURPOSE
Used for the protective treatment of porous construction materials – brick, concrete, plaster, natural stone, asbestos slate, tile, paving slabs, etc. Yields water-repellent properties to the treated surface by increasing the contact angle.
- Prevents the formation of saline deposits on brickwork
- Improves cold resistance properties.
- Protects from fungi and mildew.
- Increases structures’ durability.
- Does not form crystalline structures, does not lead to clogging, does not influence gas permeability.
- Concentrated (can be diluted with water in the proportion 1:40)
FIELD OF APPLICATION
- Preventing the formation of saline deposits on brick building facades.
- Protecting surfaces against the devastating effect of moisture, as well as improving the cold resistance properties of absorbent porous construction materials.. (bricks, plaster, natural stone, concrete, roof tiles, asbestos slates, paving slabs, etc.).
- Can be used as an antifungal agent in areas with excessive humidity and by direct contact with water. .
ADVANTAGES
- Provides for weather protection.
- Protects materials against biological damage. The compound includes special antiseptic agents, impeding the development of fungi and mildew.
- Convenient packaging. Sold as a concentrate, which makes the compound convenient for transportation and use.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The HYDROSTOP ® compound (TU 2251-036-13238275-2006) is an aqueous emulsion based on organic silicon products. Easily miscible with water. Does not foam. The emulsion remains stable during a long period of time.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before the application shake the compound and dilute it with water. The dilution may be 1 part of the HYDROSTOP compound per 10 parts of water for strong absorbents (silicate and ceramic bricks) to 1 part of the HYDROSTOP compound per 25 parts of water for poor absorbents (facing brick). For especially poor absorbents (asbestos cement, asbestos sheeting) the compound is diluted in the proportion of 1:40.
The approximate consumption of the ready mix is 1 l per 3.5-5 m.
The water-repellent properties can be observed after 12 hours. Composition: aqueous emulsion of organosilicon compounds (water-repellent and antiseptic agents).
The maximum storage period of the diluted hydrophobic compound cannot exceed one day. The guaranteed coating life is 10-15 years.
Precautions:
Protective goggles must be worn during work; if the compound is in contact with the eyes wash them with plenty of water.
The composition is approved by the Territorial Administration of the Federal Supervision Authority for Consumers Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing for the City of Moscow.
Storage conditions:
Store at the temperature ranging from 0o C to + 30o С in a sealed container away from heating appliances, do not expose to direct sunlight. Do not freeze!
Shelf life: 6 months.
